Publication standard

• Confirm the exact identity and usable mapped location.
• Use direct authoritative or institutional sources whenever available.
• Connect claims to evidence and distinguish fact, interpretation, memory, tradition, and folklore.
• Name people, dates, communities, and consequences specifically when evidence supports them.
• Include difficult history without sensationalizing suffering.
• Represent Indigenous, marginalized, and living communities responsibly.
• Use rights-cleared media with creator, source, date, license, and useful alt text.
• Block duplicates, repetitive writing, fabricated quotations, and unsupported claims.

Corrections

History changes as evidence and scholarship improve. Submit an exact correction and source through Support. TrekBound may correct, expand, relabel, temporarily restrict, or remove material after review. Good-faith disagreements about interpretation will be evaluated against evidence and current scholarship.

Copyright and takedown

Rights holders may report material they believe is unauthorized. Include the work, exact TrekBound location, rights basis, contact information, and a good-faith statement. TrekBound may disable disputed material during review and will respond to valid legal notices as required.

Community material

User submissions are drafts until reviewed. TrekBound does not publish private personal data, dangerous precise locations, unverified accusations, hateful material, advertising disguised as history, or media without a documented rights basis.

Artificial intelligence

Automation may assist organization, accessibility, quality checks, or drafting, but publication requires evidence-bounded rules and review. AI output is not itself a historical source. TrekBound does not permit invented quotations, citations, people, dates, or events.
